Hair removal laser uses a low energy laser which passes through the patient's skin, being absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle. Each pulse of the laser targets and inactivates a large number of hair follicles and ultimately the hair bulbs.
During each treatment session, a certain percentage of the hair bulbs are damaged such that hair will not grow from there again. With each treatment, additional hair bulbs are damaged until hair is completely absent in most cases. Results may vary from person to person depending on the colour and thickness of hair stands in the area to be treated. The darker and thicker the hair, the more desirable results would achieve.
